The Documents module allows you to register your document by defining its validity period or selecting a specific expiration date. To do this, follow the steps below:
Access the New document menu and complete the registration as detailed in this article. Once the first, second, and third registration steps are complete, in Step 4: Setting, check the "Document with expiration date" option and then define the type of validity for this document:
- It is possible to select the periodicity in days, months, and years.
- The specific date option will allow a precise date to be defined, for example, 01/04/2025, instead of a periodicity of 1 year, for example.
To register the document by selecting the validity period, simply click on Validity period and then select the desired periodicity:
For documents where you wish to select a specific date, simply click on Specific date defined in the elaboration and then click Save to complete the document registration:
The system will inform you that the document was successfully registered.
If you are the document elaborator, the elaboration screen will then be displayed. Otherwise, the user responsible for this step will receive a pending task to create or insert the file into the system. It is through this pending task that the expiration date will be defined if you have set the validity as a specific date:
