In the Nonconformity Management module, the standard workflow goes from the Planning step directly to Execution. However, it is possible to enable the Approval of the action plan, which creates an extra step to validate root causes and corrective actions before execution.
This option provides more control and security to the process, ensuring that only reviewed and approved plans move forward.
To enable this additional step, follow the steps below:
- In the Nonconformity Management module, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the top menu and select the option Module Configuration:
- On the configuration screen, enable the option Approval of the action plan:
- Enter the default approver, set the deadline for completing the approval, and click Save:
Approval Step Enabled:
With the Approval step enabled, in addition to the normal nonconformity workflow, the Action Plan Approval and Due date fields will be displayed automatically, populated according to the configuration settings:
Upon completing the Planning step, you will be directed to the Approval step, which contains the Root Causes and Corrective Actions:
If everything is in order, click Approve to proceed to the implementation stage:
If rejection is necessary, enter the reason and click Reject:
When the action plan is rejected, the nonconformity automatically returns to the Planning stage, allowing the responsible person to review and adjust the corrective actions as needed.
